YARE, a product of Northino Tech Ltd. (hereinafter, "YARE"), respects and protects the privacy of its users in compliance with the Nigerian Data Protection Act (NDPA 2023), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, GDPR) where applicable, and other relevant international data protection standards. We are committed to transparency in how we collect, use, and safeguard your data.

• Payment Data: Billing details, payment provider information (processed securely via third parties, not stored in plain text by us).

We process collected data for:

• Providing translation and localization services.
• Processing payments and managing your account.
• Matching you with qualified translators under confidentiality obligations.
• Improving platform performance, personalization, and fraud prevention.
• Communicating with you about projects, updates, and promotions (with opt-out options).

IV. Translation Data & Consent

When you upload documents or content for translation, you decide how that data is treated:

• If you consent: Your data may be anonymized, stripped of personal identifiers, and securely used to improve our AI translation models and research. You will receive reduced platform fees/discounts when consenting.
• If you decline: Your data will only be used for completing your specific translation request. It will not be stored or reused for AI training.

Regardless of consent, we never sell your translation data, and all processing is subject to strict confidentiality and security controls.

V. Data Sharing and Security

• Translators assigned to your project, bound by NDAs/confidentiality agreements.
• Trusted service providers (cloud hosting, payment processors, analytics tools).
• Authorities when legally required or to protect YARE’s legal rights.

We apply encryption, secure storage, and access restrictions to protect data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.

VI. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes stated:

• Account data is stored until you request deletion.
• Payment records are retained as required by financial regulations.
• Translation files are deleted within 12 months unless you opt to store them.
• AI training datasets (with consent) are anonymized and cannot be traced back to you.

VII. Your Rights

In line with GDPR and NDPA, you may:

• Access or download your personal data.
• Request corrections or deletions of your data.
• Withdraw consent for AI training at any time.
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Request data portability to another service provider.
